Monoprints | Monotypes | Mixed Media
Monoprints and Monotypes are original hand pulled prints, in my case, from an etching press. I always use 100% rag cotton archival printing paper, usually Arches Cover, Rising Stonhenge, and Rives BFK papers. Sometimes I embellish them with drawing on top of the pulled original and sometimes I paint on them and sometimes they become mixed media pieces. I use parts of monoprints to create waxed encaustic works as well. I will always note the size, year, and media with each piece.

Raven tells a story of how the world is full of magic.
This is Raven’s point of view.
Flicker doesn’t see it. As Flicker listens to Raven go on and on,
she discovers that if she squints her eyes in a certain way,
she can see what Raven is talking about.
The world is full of extraordinary beauty and magic.
Flicker realizes it’s all in how you look at it.

Handmade Blank Art Journals
These journals are each one of a kind. They are made of acid free book board and archival glue. Some have original art work for the covers and some have giclee prints for the covers as well as paste paper that I have made. The pages are a smooth acid free drawing/writing paper. I make a variety of books, Mare’s Book (AKA,Button Hole) Japanese Stitch, Coptic, Jewel Back, and Chap books. With Mare’s Book I add beads to the spine. There are no two books alike.

Altered Figurines
It brings me great joy to switch the heads of figurines. It cheers me up when times are tough. It makes me very happy to alter the mindset and point of view of these characters. I think it makes them happy too.
