Exploring book arts
We will create several paste papers and make a 6 X 9 open backed hard cover book that opens flat. Also known as Mare’s Book. Templates and materials lists are included. No experience in the arts is necessary.

Collage and Action Figure | Drawing from the Dreamtime

Exploring strengthening creative intuition
We strengthen our intuition and trust in our creative choices. In this unique class you will create a collage and an articulated paper doll representing what you want to empower and bring into your life at this time. All we need is a glue stick, scissors, magazines, your imagination, and a willingness to explore the visual language of your heart. I will share practical exercises and tools to magnify your creative impulses and to help overcome the avoidance and fear that sometimes arrives when you approach doing something creative. Along with tools and dialogue, we will make a story soul collage and a creative art guardian action figure.
No experience in the arts is necessary. I will provide all materials needed.

Tiny Books

Exploring monoprinting possibilities
I have been monoprinting with litho inks for 40 years and this medium still surprises and amazes me with its vast possibilities. You do not need experience but you do need to be willing to take chances, let go of control, and enjoy the surprises. You will learn techniques in viscosity printing with oil- based inks creating monoprints and monotype prints. We will work with black and white and color.
All materials are included in the price.

Tracing Paper Transfer
Must have a drawing completed before class
3 Hours $60.00
Exploring the magic of drawing transfer.
Tracing paper transfer requires some drawing on tracing paper with Conte pastel pencils or oil pastels. You will need to come to class with a drawing on tracing paper that you have already drawn. The drawing can be figurative or non figurative. We will be using oil-based inks for this unique process and an etching press. You will be using your own tracing paper and Conte pastel pencils. With the tracing paper drawing you can get two or three prints from your drawing. This is a great process for those who like to draw and love to print.
